Amazing tattoo art

Thursday, January 13, 2011

Tribal tattoo pictures possess three unique characteristics that made them be considered as a form of art. That is pain, permanence and blood. As a form of art, tribal tattoos cover amazing array of designs and is in fact the most common of tattoo designs. These pictures actually depict native and aboriginal cultures of the past, as well as the up to date graphic designs.

As the name says, they were used to identify tribes, clans and families. It is not only used as an identification of an individual but it was believed that tattoos would allow someone to find his tribe and rejoin with it again in the afterlife. At present, we may not have tribes to identify ourselves with but there are the contemporary forms of tribal groups such as fraternal gangs, and other organizations that make use of designed tattoos.

Amazing Tattoo Paintings

Tribal tattoos depict a lot of symbols and are deeply rooted in history. In some instances they represent cultural expressions of spirits, blessings and status. Others could also mean protection and the relationship of earth to the cycle of life. Considered as one of the first tattoos imprinted by accident, they were first used by primitives by playing around with fire. Perhaps it started when someone got poked with a burnt or charred stick and realized this left a permanent mark upon the body.

It has also been said that the very first tribal tattoo pictures were of the sun or flames in honor of the sun god. These tattoos were actually believed by people to be a symbol and instrument that would foster a closer relationship to god.

Torn ribs tattoo

Ok, enough of that. Let's talk about an easy, effective way to find sites that have a wonderful leg tattoo design collection. The best way to accomplish this is by using forums to your advantage. They are such underused tools, yet they can easily show you so many of the hidden, quality galleries you've been missing out on. I say this because I have helped so many people see the way that the larger forums help. They are filled to the brim with past topics on tattoos for you to browse through.

You can leisurely scan though them and see exactly where other people have somehow located amazing artwork for their tattoos. There are so many lesser known sites out there and these are the ones that tend to take a lot of pride into having amazing artwork for any niche, including for a leg tattoo design. If you don't care about getting some generic artwork inked on your skin, you don't have to try this out.

This is only for people who don't want a leg tattoo design that they will end up hating, because it's the same generic junk everybody else gets.

Tattoo Most Beautiful

There is a major issue popping up concerning finding a crisp, quality drawn leg tattoo design. The problem is that only about 10% of the people find them. What does everyone else see? They see sites that are filled to the brim with generic junk and awful cookie cutter images. Here is why that always happens and how to stop it in its tracks, while easily finding a one great leg tattoo design selection after another.

This is what it all comes down to: Only a very small percentage of guys and gals truly get to see the great artwork on the web. Everybody else just gets led to sites that couldn't care less about featuring quality drawn tattoos. Why does this happen? It happens because just about everyone looking for tattoos is going to rely on some kind of search engine. Long story short, this just does not work. When you type in some keyword to look for a leg tattoo design, you get this horrid list of sites that all seem to have the same cookie cutter junk.

Tattoo 3D On The Body

Tattoo 3D On The BodyTattoo 3D On The Body

That's all you get. For some odd reason, none of the better galleries are showing up, no matter if you're using Google or Yahoo. Most people don't even realize this and wind up spending all of their time looking through 1000's of generic designs trying to find a good leg tattoo design, thinking that this is all there is on the web. The sadder part is that many of those people are settling on those cookie cutter designs, simply because they couldn't pin point anything better!

I don't know about you, but I don't think that any rational person should be "settling" on tattoos. Why would you want to get something etched on your skin that you don't even completely like? People that do this will generally end up regretting the fact that they got tattooed in the first place. It's just a little bit too late by that point, though, as the leg tattoo design will already be on your body.

Spirit Vision Henna in Five Points is happy to announce that the weather is finally warm enough to make hanna paste. In fact, a lovely mixture is sitting in the afternoon sun, the dye has released, and everyone can enjoy fragrant, rich color in their first henna tattoo of the season.

Ann George and the artists of Spirit Vision Henna will offer tattoo at 1055 Park Street, in The Midnight Sun on Saturday 3.27.10. Please come by after 1PM to browse pattern books and pick your design. If this is your first henna experience.... please visit the FAQ page for answers to all your first time questions.

We specialize in traditional henna tattoo, but are available for special requests. You are welcome to call 904-993-7466 to schedule an appointment if you like. Henna will be offered Saturday on a first come, first served basis. Henna tattoo prices start at $15. The size and style of tattoo you choose determines the price.

As the weather warms up, henna may also be offered on Fridays by appointment. It takes at least 24 hours to create a good henna paste, so last minute henna requests are hard to fill. Please call ahead for henna on Fridays, or other days of the week.

If you would like to book Spirit Vision Henna for a private party, our artists are available to come to you. This year, we are pleased to announce that Arvid Smith, an accomplished sitar player, will be available to play for you if you would like to provide live music for your henna gathering.

temporary Henna Pattern for smart woman

Here is a photo of a henna tattoo (paste is on the skin - not black henna) for the active woman.

You will see that there is a lacy henna pattern on the palm, rather whimsical, yet incorporating traditional components.

However, the fingers and thumbs are free of henna paste, so work can continue for the three to six hours necessary to get the darkest henna color.

The palm will always show the true beauty of henna.. yielding colors ranging from rose, to red.. and in some cases, with good aftercare, black cherry red.

To ensure the darkest color, leave the paste on the skin as long as possible. It is also good to enjoy the outdoors! Heat is good for henna, water is not.

If you want your henna color to last as long as possible, no matter where you put it... the once you remove the paste, cover the design with olive oil to seal in the color & some body heat.

If you must wash anything.. please remember .. a bit of olive oil over the henna tattoo keeps water out and color in. For more information on the henna tattoo process, visit the FAQ page on my site.

the Bridal Style Henna Tattoo - Full Back Hand Henna Pattern

Here is a photo of bridal style henna tattoo. This is a full back hand henna pattern that took about half an hour to finish.

The design actually started above the wrist with the floral cuff, then moved down to the back of the hand, and finally to the fingers.

From this angle, it is easy to see the peacock built into the pattern, so the wearer gets to enjoy the lovely bird.

The viewer will notice the floral cuff first, and then the eye will be drawn down the hand to the tip of the fingers.

This pattern was created by drawing a series of shapes that were then outlined and finally filled in with traditional mehndi components to give a full hand tattoo.

The use of negative space is very important when creating free hand henna designs. A bit of space between design elements catches the eye.

In my experience, when I forget to use negative space, my tattoos seem cluttered, visually busy, or it's just plain hard to see what I drew. I hope you find this little note helpful.

For more information about drawing henna tattoo, there are wonderful live videos on this blog. Check the labels to the right of this post to find one you like. Namaste.

cute Henna Tattoo Design - When Is a Free Hand Pattern "Finished"?

Here is a photo of a henna tattoo for the arm. The pattern is from the wonderful "Sangeet" pattern book available from Tap Dancing Lizard, and the henna by Ann George of Spirit Vision Henna.

This pattern took only a few minutes to do, as the paste was very moist, also fragrant, and easy to apply using a henna cone.

You will notice the design is eye-catching because both light & heavy lines were used to create the pattern.

This henna tattoo also make use of the shading technique to fill in the petals of the flowers. However, it just didn't feel quite finished.

Now, please notice this second photo:

Love Tattoos Are Very Popular Today

Tattoos are no longer found only on the tough guys in the crowd. Tattoos are now so popular that it can often be a struggle finding new angles when it comes to both the background and placement. Tattoos are an art form for some people but an abomination to others on the other end of the spectrum.

Tattoos are very common these days, with just about 1 in 4 individuals having at least one and often more. Tattoos are usually considered to be part of the living organism of skin and must be maintained over the years to keep their colors alive and fresh. Tattoos that have been correctly applied, correctly healed, and protected from the rays of the sun can remain their best for years and years.

Body Painting Festival in Daegu, South Korea

Body Painting Festival in Daegu, South KoreaFestival Body Painting

As one might notice at a body painting festival, there's plenty of paint, a touch of toplessness, and some awesome artwork. Taking the human body and using it as a canvas is definitely interesting, but I had yet to see this interesting artistic technique up-close and personal. The Daegu International Body Painting Festival was the answer. There was quite a bit of excellent art; in fact, it was hard to narrow the number to less than twenty pictures for the sake of this post.

The term 'international' in Korea does not necessarily mean an international crowd. Quite a few special guests and competitors, however, were from beyond Korea's borders. Above is one of the American artists brought in as a special guest, Lisa Berczel. Surprisingly, she was one of the few artists to have any sort of promotional / marketing material - and thus is one of the few names I can associate with the artwork.
